Before I met with Paige, I had no idea what kind of school I wanted to go to. The only thing I knew was that I wanted to keep my options open because I still don’t know what I want to major in and I didn’t want to go to a school that would restrict me. Aside from that, I was completely clueless until I started working with Paige.
After our initial getting-to-know-you meeting, Paige gave me a list of schools that she thought I might be interested in, and one of them was Bryn Mawr. I went back to her and asked for another school, convinced I didn’t want to go to an all-women’s college. Paige listened. We discussed other schools I should consider, but we also decided that since I was going on a long college tour trip, I should visit some all-women’s colleges to make sure it wasn’t right for me. I ended up applying to one school: Bryn Mawr.
I didn’t have a dream school until I talked to Paige, and it’s because of her that I will be going to a school that fits who I am. From getting to know Paige to pressing “submit” on my application, the entire process has been delightful. Paige has helped me every step of the way, and if I had to go through the application process again, I would do it with her.
Paige also helped me decide what to do over the summer and has consistently sent me job and volunteer opportunities she thought I would be interested in, even after I committed to college. In addition to being an amazing college counselor, Paige is a wonderful mentor who I am so grateful to have met.
